As far as I know the Query Optimizer does not use Select/Omit logicals when choosing an access path. However, there is a possibility it *MAY* use them *IF* the WHERE clause matches the Select/Omit criteria but I doubt it. Run the query in debug. If the optimizer chooses a Select/Omit logical and as a result misses records then open an APAR with IBM because that is not how it should work.
