Its been a while sense I've had to deal with this (faxing overlays) but this was my experience: I had one customer using Fax400 (is that the same as FastFax?). Another customer using KeyesMail. I had the same problem with the Fax400 software as you are having. Printing of the document with the overlay to a printer works great. Faxing compresses the overlay at a different rate than it compresses the spool file data. If I remember correctly, the LPI was perfect, the alignment of columns was messed up. Fax400 pointed their fingers at IBM saying it was their fault. (I forgot the exact problem) Unhappy with their answer, I checked with the techs at Keyes and they unfortunately confirmed the answer received from FAX400. I had the luxury of being able to change the form and leaving a lot of space left and write of where I was printing and it worked OK (not great!) One tip I can give, when faxing, if your overlay prints within the margins (1/2" on all sides on a fax) it makes it even worse. Sorry for the lack of help! - Message: 11 From: "Wills, Mike N. I did an initial test and the overlay works, but my compression did not. Is there a setting that will enable that to work?
