It can be done in ILE, you just have to use OVRSCOPE(*JOB) on the OVRDBF.
I don't know if I *LIKE* that option, but it's possible :)

To be honest with you, I've always found the "batch-ftp" solutions to
be awkward and hard to maintain.  I wrote an open-source FTPAPI service
program that allows much better integration with your existing ILE
programs, you (or the original poster) may find that to be a better
option:
