FWIW, our zebras are setup with RMTOUTQs, using HPT=*YES, and a WSCST of
QWPDEFAULT.
They work fine all the time.

We have a similar setup, but use Zebra printers and ZPL II.  Our device
descriptions have HPT at *NO and Manufacturer type and model are blank.
