I put a call in to IBM Support and they helped me.  I had been going into
Ops Navigator, File Systems, IFS, QDLS to check permissions, etc. when I
should have been going into Network, Servers, TCP/IP, AS/400 Netserver,
Shared Objects, QDLS.  Sure enough, in the latter, QDLS was marked as read
only.

I just upgraded to XP w/CAE and now my folders in QDLS are reporting as read
only.  Went through midrange list archives and found similar posting but no
resolution.  Ops Navigator shows shares and permissions setup ok.  Windows
Explorer shows as read only.  Any and all help greatly appreciated!
