YES, you can do this. I worked with 5.1 CAE and 4.4 OS/400 for many months.
If you're just using green screen with it, then there should be no problem.
In Ops (excuse me iSeries) Navigator, there will be some features that may
not work with OS 4.4, but for the most part you should be OK.
