> From: Roy Luce > > Anyone out there had even the slightest experience with FreeStyle 400? I have second-hand experience, Roy. A prospect of mine is looking for a solution for reducing their interactive load, and FreeStyle/400 is one of the options. They're quite a bit cheaper than PSC/400, and the prospect was able to fairly quickly get a screen up and running. That's the good news. The bad news is that, due to its design, I'm pretty sure you'll have problems with some basic display file functions. For example, the informational data structure isn't going to be supported, so AID bytes, cursor positioning and so on are all unlikely to work. I have serious doubts about subfile handling as well, and popup windows, especially those in other programs using KEEP and ASSUME. However, there's a free demo, so I think the best bet would be to try it and see if it works for your needs. And if not, there's always PSC/400 <smile>. Joe
