I have a UNC which points to an NT server. Due to some other
considerations I am storing this in a simple text field in a file. I have
an extensive trigger on this file. My goal is that if the unc is not
equal to *NONE, then it better be valid. Valid means that the location,
and the directory, must exist and be able to link. Sample valid entry:
\\Gdsnt\downtime\archive

Granted I could strip out GDSNT and ping the bugger. But I also want to
make sure that the directory exists. Is there a simple API which I can
just check the error message data? I thought of using stat(). Would this
work? If so, how's about a sample? RPGLE, if you have it.
