Yeppp ..... I was selling at that time and what you say is the truth...
but they almost didn't realize what they had. Try to picture that
"exact" same box with the newer drives and faster processors......

Let's say the P03 with a 820 processor and (2) 20gig drives.($10k)
It would support 56 devices and have a external tape drive.

This would effectively wipe out the entire 250/270 line sold
at the smaller shops.(Which I suspect IBM has no interest in doing)
