You ought to know that when I typed "PC operating system" I meant "PC database". And I know you know that there are very few PC databases that have anywhere near the integrity of DB2/400. Most do not. That was my point. As to CA-Realia COBOL, I have no real issues with the product other than the fact that I only know of one person who uses it, and that would be you. I'm glad they have a solid database. Does it have an ODBC interface? Joe
