Interesting - IBM are helpless trying to assist us as well with a similar
problem at V5R1.

We were losing between 2 and 3 GIG per day!!!  Seems to max out at about 30
gig but we don't have a huge usage of the IFS like you do, but experience
similar symptoms (i.e. ENDSBS *ALL gives us our space back!)

We've been living with it since November - IBM only suggest doing DIRDUMP's
and using iDoctor to trace jobs after an IPL - of course the problem is
trying to find time to IPL the machine all the time - it's the primary
partition on a box that runs about 3500 users :-(.
