Actually I was just trying out that theory.....using grep/tail. Doesn't seem to work for files in the QSYS.LIB file system. STRQSH cd .. cd QSYS.LIB/PRODFILE.LIB tail DSIPICKS.FILE tail: 001-2104 Error found reading from file DSIPICKS.FILE. Operation not supported. grep -c 'CUSHION' DSIPICKS.FILE 0 <zero returned> Too bad really. But I sure understand why IBM wouldn't allow things like this -- potentially very dangerous.....
