Peter,

I'm afraid it's not. The situation is not symmetrical: I have the primary
server and the backup server, the local journal on the former and the remote
journal on the latter, and I'm after the best and the quickest way to
recover should the primary server die on me. In fact, I'm after an
entry-level replication solution. And it looks like it can be done, but as
far as I can currently judge, it involves periodical intra-system SAVRST of
remote journal receivers to a different library.

Lo

Isn't that simply a matter of view point? Or are you not able to sign on
the the remote system?

Peter,

I would like to be able to recover on the remote side, not on the local
system

Hi Lo,

Have you looked into the ADDRMTJRN and CHGRMTJRN commands? My understanding
is that journal entries from a remote system are replicated to a journal on
the local system where you could use the APYJRNCHG on a regular basis to
keep the files in sync. I've never done it though.
