The machine is just turned off (I mean not running).

Just IPL the thing.

Walk someone thru the "Starting the 170"  little work book that comes with
it.

Push select,  Pick Mode (F, S , V   = Fast,  Slow,  Verify IPL modes)

I used to have to read the book each time.  (I'm a slow learner)

Someone must have did a PWRDWNSYS command on you.
