Already tried that. I can ping their router, and a number of their servers.
It's just the remote controller I can't get to. And like I said before, I
can ping it from a DOS prompt. Just not from the AS/400 command line. This
thing drops every once and a while for no apparent reason and we play H!@#
getting it back on line.

Thanks,

Mark

I don't know if you have a shop standard like we do but,

If our iSeries address was 10.10.1.200 and I got a no response, I would
ping 10.10.1.1 and that would ping the router/switch that controlled all of
the 10.10.1.* boxes. You might want to try pinging that.

What error are you getting - unknown host, or, no response? Just trying to
see if this is a typo, a dns issue, or a routing issue between the branch
the PC is on versus that of your iSeries.

Hello all,

I have a Perle 594e controller setting on the other end of our Frame Relay.
The thing dropped and I can't figure out why. From a 5250 session I can't
ping the 594 but from a PC command line I can. Any clues would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark
