new partition problem

I just built a new partition on our V5.1 system.  I did an IPL and I am now
trying to connect to the virtual console.  But when I do I get a message
saying to enter a service tool id.  The one I use for LINUX1 doesn't work,
and I have no idea where to look for one.  Any ideas?
