Two comments: Believe it or not, another manager (while I was on vacation) assigned a programmer to make a code generated file maintenance program for each physical file we had - that is, if I had 500 PF's, the programmer was assigned to code generate 500 maintance programs. While certainly more effective than writing 500 RPG programs to do the same thing, the assignment is still silly. Thus I started writing WRKDBF to solve this assignment once for all files. and secondly, believe it or not, in it's inital iterations, WRKDBF was generated with Synon!
