I've got a subsystem with twelve autostart job entries. They do start in an
unpredictable order. For the last month, however, the first job
alphabetically has always been the first to start. It's not enough to base
mission critical requirements on.

You might configure a single-threaded job queue entry, submit all the
autostart jobs to it, and work out some sort of resubmit flag logic.
