It's not my approach, Reeve, it's fundamental C/S architecture.
Implementations of encapsulated servers for the IBM midrange date at least
back to the 80's, and the general idea of encapsulation is even older.  And
while this architecture may not be economically appropriate for every case,
if you don't use encapsulation, you should at least be making an informed
business decision and consciously choosing against it.  That's all I ever
try to provide: an informed choice.  Because design decisions really can be
quantitatively better than one another from a pure architecture standpoint,
and deciding which one to use should always take that into account.
