Just to let everyone know I found a way to do this, and it is very simple to have a 5250 session signon automatically w/ the device name. All you have to do is use the exit point QIBM_QTG_DEVINIT then move the devname to the user profile and set allow auto signon to 1 Chris Beck >>> jdamato@dollargeneral.com 09/19/01 04:06PM >>> Why don't you just put a post-it with the username and password on the kiosk? Our users have found this to work quite well. :) -Jim -----Original Message----- From: Chris Beck [mailto:CBeck@good-sam.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2001 2:44 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Auto Signon Is there a way to have a 5250 session signon to the system automatically. I could pull the username and the password from the display station name. My problem is that this is a Kiosk of sorts, and when a network problem occurs the session is dropped back to the login screen, I would like it the then log itself back in. I have a friend that thinks he remembers something about doing this but cant remember how. Possibly in the subsystem?
