The www.ignite400.org site offers a good example of a protection set-up. One of the directories is designated as a "members only" resource. The HTTP Server Webmaster's Guide discusses how to define a protection setting for an AS/400 directory. When a user clicks on a link that references a protected URL, the Web server will automatically prompt for a User ID and Password, which may be stored in an OS/400 object called an Access Control List. The HTTP Server Administration forms can be used to add users to an ACL. There's also an API available to add users programmatically. Nathan M. Andelin www.relational-data.com
