Dan, with all due respect, we need more detail other than these
generalizations.

We just had a meeting of the minds (I was asked to leave), and
apparently are experiencing problems with SQL and version levels
on the files. V5R1 SQL has trouble with V4R2 files.

Does anyone know the reasons behind this?

We have tried various work-arounds, including copying files into
a library created on the V5R1 system (with limited success).
Or is this on an APAR, or upcoming HIPER?
