I'd begin thinking how I'd do something similar on the server that is hosting 
SQL Server. If I had a non-database object there, for example a desktop 
shortcut, and I wanted to extract the value of an attribute for SQL Server, 
say, pull the <Start in> property from the shortcut, how would I do that? On 
the AS/400, your best bet is maybe a stored procedure.
