Steve, Where are you seeing these invalid sign-on attempts from? If they are from a green screen signon look at QAUDJRN for journal code T and type PW. This will at lease show you the device the attempt was made from. If the attempts are from servers running under TCP/IP (Telnet, FTP, etc.), ip address is discernable through exit programs. -- Gary Monnier garymon@powertechgroup.com The PowerTech Group 253.872.7788 PowerLock NetworkSecurity www.powertechgroup.com PowerLock SecurityAudit www.powertechgroup.com -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:midrange-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of steven.donnellan@simonjersey.com Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2001 8:59 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: User Profile This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Our security software is reporting that a user called ADMIN is trying to sign on to my AS/400. There is no such user on the AS/400. Is there anyway I can find the IP address that this sign on is coming from? I suspect that this is some DEVICE on our network, not actually a bona-fide hack attempt.
