RE: CPI0999 -- MIDRANGE-L

This is a storage directory, not storage capacity, issue.  I've gone over
the threshold hundreds of times without receiving this specific message, and
once I'm back below the threshold, I do not receive any other messages.
Yes, one job could have created lots of objects (spooled files) that would
have pushed auxiliary storage over the threshold, but this message is
related to a very large number of objects, not a number of very large
objects.

you continue to get this message because you exceeded the system storage
threshold. This could have happened one time with a job that consumed a
large amout of storage, which it release when the job ended. or someone
could have changed the threshold value.

If you want to investigate I would use the history log to find the first
time the message happened and try to figure out what was running around
that time or look for the message that the threshold system value was
changed.

I am getting the following message (cpi0999). I'm IPL'ing this weekend
which
may fix the problem, but otherwise what could be
causing this?

reduced.
   To reduce the amount of storaged used, do the following:

     -- Delete objects from the system that are not needed.

     -- Save objects that are not needed online by specifying STG(*FREE) on
the
   Save Object (SAVOBJ) command.
