The problem is QUSRSYS.  The data will not map accordingly, so any internal
system wiles will be all screwed up.  I would not recommend this.

Hi there,
 I'm planning to upgrade a system from V3.2 to V5.1, and have checked out
the cisc to risc roadmap which confirms that an interlude at V4R5 is
required.
I have a quadrupled size new box for a side by side build, just waiting to
be experimented on and I just wandered if anyone has tried upgrading the
non-roadmap way, eg., by unload/reload of my new box, with V5R1 installed,
as opposed to doing an os upgrade from V4R5 to V5R1.
What do you think....too risky....or worth a try????
Any comments would be appreciated - especially anyone who's tried/failed at
this???
