You have to use an edit word in the "O" specs to get around RPG's automatic
padding...

A little known sentence in the RPG manual indicates that the compiler
inserts 2 blanks in front of elements if an edit code is used.  See the
section in the Reference manual entitled Combination Edit Codes, just above
the table.  Chapter 14.
