Catch-22..... If Netserver is configured (doesn't seem likely if CA was
never installed, but it *CAN* be configured via the command line) there
should be an install image for ca/400 in QDLS. Older versions of PC Support
should be able to map a drive to it via shared folders. Otherwise, I think
you're stuck, and will need media (CD or diskettes)

Subject: DHCP and NO Ops Navigator

Over the weekend, I was in N.Y.C. doing a V4R5 to a customer's system,
when the accounting guy came strolling in with a brand new emulation
card(PCI Express) to be be used with CA Express. (TCP/IP over twinax)

(V4R5 went on with PTF's on a 9406-500 in just over 9 hours)

These people have never installed CA and all has been well for many
years, but they wanted to put a particular pc on CA/400 soooooo, I
said I said "sure thing" and finished up the upgrade on V4R5.

Sunday morning we installed the new card, and went through all the
normal diagnostics, BUT, the software driver install informed me
that DHCP was HIGHLY recommended and that requires Ops Navigator to
install and update. Since CA/400 has never been installed, of course
that means that I don't have Ops Navigator either.

How do I go about this ugly catch 22 situation ???????

(I know you don't believe there are actually accounts with no CA/400)
