I only got one direct email, which was via one of the other mailing lists
I'm on (iseries on yahoo). I noticed in the headers that it was cross
posted to lots of other yahoo groups, various other mailing lists as well
as comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc and the Spanish & Italian equivalents.

Looking at the top sites and the number of votes I was puzzled by a
number of them - IBM aren't likely to use links like this, yet they had
the highest votes. I set up my site in the list as others seems to have
done the same, but when Brad mentioned earlier that he hadn't entered
his, I took a closer look at the page. Most of the early links (I got in
at number 12) have the banner graphic pointing back to an /ez400
directory on Yahoo, rather than from the linked-to web site, so it looks
like the poster has 'contrived' the whole thing. I now appear to have 8
votes without adding any code to my site. I guess it shows some 'web
savvy', though dubious, but I don't know that it does much to promote the
individual concerned as far as AS/400 skills go.

Regards, Martin
