Not here, but at previous places - techy and users where not all that
impressed; I have
heard that they have gotten better, but having worked there in support for a
time;
I would not be very comfortable purchasing their software; and I apologize,
I cannot
expound any further upon that.

As for accounting packages, Infinium is good, JDE isn't too bad (but a pain
for us
technical people to work with until you get used to the enormous amount of
code
that is required for their flexibility), BPCS is coded just as ugly as
MAPICS - after
that I have not personally ran or worked with any other packages on the
AS/400.

Make sure you get requirements from someone other than a sales person, some
of these
systems are huge resource hogs that can bring a "busy/full" system to its
knees.
Get CPW minimums, DASD space utilization for not only the programs but the
data files
keeping in mind how large your organization is and how much the bean
counters want to
keep on the system...

HTH

Is anyone out there running Lawson on a 400? Are you happy with it?

Chris
