To map a drive from the root downwards using CAE/NetServer, you will need
to set up a share at the top level (i.e. /) - I normally call such shares
Root - and then map your drive to \\MYAS400\Root. I don't think you can do
it any other way in CAE land.

I do it all the time.  You need to start the AS400's Netserver, so it
becomes a true Windows Networking file server.  After that, you should be
able to find the 400 in "My Network Places | Entire Network".
