Honestly, I don't know how it would work. I do know that after June, we will take our old Model 510 to another office in another city with a console and tape drives to be the recovery machine. If the building is destroyed, we could have our phone lines attached to another building while someone was fetching the old machine. Other than one of us taking the backup tape home with us every night, I don't see a real answer. (Our administrator used to keep the tapes in his sock drawer at his previous job.) I will bring up your thoughts at our next meeting. Tks, Cyndi Snip > From: Richard Shealy Lets pretend that today is Wednesday and a disaster occurs at your building. The building is in a state that you are denied permission to enter by emergency services (fire, police, FEMA). How would you reconstruct the data from last week up to today? >EndSnip +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
