One would think that your boss's boss's boss would be able to ask the bean
counters in his employ for the exact date of purchase for these machines.
One would assume that these bean counters have been depreciating the value
of these expensive machines and would have all the dates of acquisition
available.......

What is it they say about assume?????? <g>

Pat, thanks for the reply! I checked out the web site and retrieved the
availability and withdrawal dates, but I suspect my boss's boss's boss will
want something a little more narrowed down than what that provides.

You don't happen to have the contact to call on at the plants, do you?

The plant could tell you the actual date of manufacture, but for
government work, announcement dates would be close..... look here:

Do a search on 9402 or 9404 or 9406 and it will show all the dates you
want each processor.

The overseas boxes would be in the same ball park as the US versions.
