Jeff, >> (b) use some other methodology to connect the STRCODE users with a non-interactive session ? You don't mention what level of Code/400 they are running but I am using V4R5M1 and never use a 5250 session or STRCODE. When I start Code/400 it automatically starts the communications daemon. As long as I have defined my AS/400 using the Communications Console (and in my case I also define my user logon information) then Code connects automagically whenever I try to open an AS/400 file. This part of the latest release along with Win2K has proved pretty reliable for me. It also worked on earlier releases but not as reliably. Library lists can be changed by using the command window and if I need a more permanent change I can add libraries to an extension list. The only limitations are that I cannot use prompting in CL and cannot issue commands that require a 5250 display (WRKACTJOB or whatever) - I simply keep a 5250 session active for that stuff. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
