Leif, >as I recall, performance was so bad that IBM had to throw in an extra 4Mb >for free to quell customer complaints. Correct; although that didn't make it a speed demon either. I remember having to try and explain to customers why the 400 needed so much more memory than the S/36 it was replacing, but for those planning on running the S36EE they had a hard time understaning it. And the memory was expensive too.
