Kirk,

  Agreed that when created with 8 or more, the striping is on 8 drives.
But in the past whenever I added drive 8 to a set it always converted
from 4 with striping to 8 with striping. As I understood it it HAD to
have striping across 8 drives if 8 or more were in the set. I now know
this to be false!
