Have you tried the CWBPING command from the DOS prompt?

I often run file transfers all the time using Client Access. And a few of
our users run them regularly Today, we can't get any to run. I am
getting the message: CWDB0058 Unable to start database server due to
communications error. Return code: 6060.

If I click on the details button, there is not much help there. I already
have a CA workstation session going, so I know the communications
configuration is OK. The QZDAINIT job in QSERVER is already running (as
well as QPWFSERVSD, QSERVER, QZDASOINIT, QZDASRVSD, and QZDASSINIT.)

We re-IPL every Sunday night. I figure that one of the host servers didn't
start, but I don't know which one. I did a STRHOSTSVR *ALL but it still
doesn't work.

What now?

Bonnie
