Title: Allocating more the 16MB in C

It's scary how often this happens. Wasn't interested when I saw it but a few days after I delete a week's worth of messages I need the information.

Sometime over the holidays someone discussed using an alternate or different way to allocate more than 16MB of memory in a C program using a (and these are my words)  "Mega" or "Giga" option or feature. If the details of that message could be reposted I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
Steve Moland
