Thanks for everyone's help. -----Original Message----- From: rob@dekko.com [mailto:rob@dekko.com] Sent: Monday, November 27, 2000 2:04 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Netserver File Share Did you ever get this working? Just checking to see if you need more help. Often you have to do a NT 'find computer' first. We too had a problem in which we had to use the IP address instead of the computer name. I hate to get in that habit, as we've been known to change the IP address of our 400. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! I am on an AS400 720 at V4R3. I have Netserver running with my users signed on as guest for print sharing. So it know it works. I created a file Qpdf in IFS. I went to Ops Nav and shared QPDF by opening netserver and right click shared objects and adding Qodf. Went to permissions and gave public authority. QPDF does not show on Windows Explorer or if I try to map to it. Why? My system name is Natgroup so I tried \\Natgroup\qpdf and \qpdf. Neither works. I am trying this because my users do not have CA. I am creating pdf docs on 400 and want users to view them and print them. Everything I read says that is the way to do it. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
