Hello Buck, I tested this on VRM440 and it works as expected. The DSPLY keyword forms part of the message text and is retrieved correctly by QMHRCVM using format RCVM0100. We are on VRM440 with Cume 049 (and some other bits). Here is the sample code: IRCVVAR DS 1000 IMISC DS I I 1000 B 1 40RCVLEN I I 0 B 5 80WAIT I B 9 120MSGKEY IERRCDE DS I I 0 B 1 40B@PROV I I 0 B 5 80B@AVAL IQMSGQ DS I I 'QSYSOPR' 1 10 MSGQ I I '*LIBL' 11 20 MSGQLB C 'HELLO' DSPLY'QSYSOPR' C CALL 'QMHRCVM' C PARM RCVVAR C PARM RCVLEN C PARM 'RCVM0100'FORMAT 8 C PARM QMSGQ C PARM '*LAST' MSGTYP 10 C PARM MSGKEY C PARM WAIT C PARM '*SAME 'ACTION 10 C PARM ERRCDE C SETON LR Urrggh! How soon we forget. This is the first RPGIII I've written in years. Yuck!! I kept typing long var names and wondered why SEU didn't like DS subfields after the I ....
