Rob, The best use I've seen for the filter is clearing out all my spool files. As a developer I get quite a few, none of which I really care about, so every once in a while I'll enter the simple command: dltsplf *select and hit enter. Short and to the point and all my splfs are toast. -Walden -----Original Message----- From: rob@dekko.com [mailto:rob@dekko.com] Sent: Thursday, November 02, 2000 5:03 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Obscure DLTSPLF parameters Thank you. Works as intended. Don't know as if I'll ever used them, now that I tested them with the *SELECT. There are much better utilities available for that. I've had spool files with no user data, yet specified 'duh', and the spool files were deleted anyway. Changed the user to another name, and the spool file is deleted anyway. Were these added eons ago with the hope of adding wild cards to Spooled file and/or Job name, or am I missing the point of these parameters?
