We are an IBM CallPath Business Partner, since 1990. 5716-CP3 will run
under V4R4, but it is not supported by IBM. If you have any problems with
CallPath, they will not even open a problem record after V4R3.

The CallPath Server for AS/400 (5648-C69) is the only product that will be
supported from V4R4 and future releases. Version 6.3 of CallPath Server was
just announced at the end of May and starts shipping today (6/30/2000).
This release is downward compatible to V4R2.

The change from CallPath for OS/400 to CallPath Server for AS/400 requires
four additional API's to be added to the CallPath initialization process
(STLINIT) and additional API to be added to the call profile deletion
(STLDEL). This is because the actual processing for CallPath has been moved
from the AS/400 to the network attached PC. The AS/400 has become a simple
client to the external PC. The change to CallPath Server for AS/400 also
changes the communications protocol from SNA to the SwitchServer/2 unit to
TCP/IP. It also allows the external box to run Windows NT, Windows 2000,
OS/2 or AIX on an RS/6000.

The list of PTF's that you should have installed on 5716-CP3 at V3R7 or
above are:

SF46983
SF43549
SF39618
SF39556
SF38440

I'll also note that CDR data collection is no longer supported at all on the
AS/400 by CallPath Server for AS/400.

If you have questions about this upgrade, please email me privately and I'll
be glad to discuss this with you.

I was not able to find anything for V4R4. There is a PTF for V4R2: SF46983
for 5716CP3.
See:

This PTF might also enable CallPath to run on versions of OS/400 beyond V4R2
if nothing else has been changed that would break it.
