Make sure "Use optimum block" is set to *NO and Data compression / Data
compaction are *DEV and you should get the most cap. per tape. The 14gb is
based on 2to1 data compression which is highly data dependant. I would
hope to see at least 10gb.

        Subject: 6390 Tape Drive Density

I've been told that a 6390-001 tape drive is capable of putting 14gb onto
a
160m 8mm tape cartridge. To date, I have not found the right combination
of
parameters on the SAVLIB command to accomplish this. First, is this true?
And secondly, if it is true, what are the parameters?

Thanks,
