I did the same upgrade a few months back, and spent *many*, *many* days planning
it.  Besides reading the appropriate sections of the Software Installation
manual, I also downloaded and read all PSP information for V4R1, V4R2, and V4R3.
I contacted all my software vendors to see if any of them had any changes for
V4R3 (two did).  There are 'Read this First' and 'Memo to Users' memos in the
doc you received (plus you should also download the latest copies from IBM via
SNDPTFORD) that need to be followed, there may be Client Access considerations,
CUM tape/HIPER considerations,  etc.

Are you sure you're not biting off more than you can chew in doing this upgrade
in a couple of days without knowing all the steps?  (And I mean this kindly).

Hi All...
I have a 9406-500 model..... with 256MB main memory and 60 Gigs of harddisk
capacity...
I am planning for a  OS upgarde from V3R7 to V4R3 this weekend....
All I need to tell you people is I cannot go to the IBM for any assitance....
Can anyone guide me on the risk factors and the precautions to be taken before I
start anything...
Please let me know the steps to be followed also....
I would be grateful....
