We use IBM network printers although they may be a little overkill for your duty
cycle.  We use the NP17 (purchase price with TWX and duplex around $1900).  We
love them and use them everywhere.  Another option is the NP12 (purchase price
with TWX and duplex around $1300).  We don't use them but I would assume they
should work just fine.  Be aware your prices will be more if you want to do IPDS
or anything else that requires more memory.

Hi All,

Being relatively new to the AS/400 world, I have what is probably a very
simple question. We have the need for a laser printer to be twinax attached
to one of our AS/400s, through an existing 5494 remote controller. This
printer will be used for approximately three to four thousand sheets a
month, and must support duplex printing. Any suggestions what kind and model
of printer I would be interested in getting and where I could acquire it.
New and/or used is an option depending on cost.
