If you do I'll happlily send you either or both of a twinax emulator card (IBM Brand) or a Twinax terminal (OK it's not new nor is it a 5251!) and a cable at no cost, just email me your UPS number! If you don't have a twinax controller then you are stuck a bit. Certainly you can config a PPP line to connect to but alas TCP/IP must still be alive for that to work. Now you could code a program that sleeps for x amount of time and when that timer hits zero it ends and restarts TCP/IP! That way if you get knocked off you just wait for the timer to trip! You might want to have a simple command to run occasionally that manually resets the timer if you are still on! Alternatively you could just set the power schedule to IPL every night (or at lunch too maybe so you'd only lose 1/2 day max). ;`) Seriously Jon, If you were connecting to NT I'd worry! This is AS/400 land, however, and machines here run for months and months and months. And there is always the white button! - Larry -- Larry Bolhuis | What if it's True?
