Hi,

At PartnerWorld (it used to be called BPEC) Tom Jarosh reportedly announced
that the AS/400 Brand would no longer be funding IBM's Magic Box
advertising, and that specific AS/400 advertising was going to be developed.

Congratulations to Tom, this is a major victory for the AS/400 and for all
of us who have seen the AS/400 fall into obscurity over the last six months.

The Tragic Box advertising campaign was a brilliant tax maneuver on the
part of IBM. It minimized IBM's revenue and profit, so that IBM would pay
less in taxes to the IRS. I do not know who specifically at IBM was
responsible for The Tragic Box Campaign, but we laud IBM's "Hire the
Handicapped" policy.
