Retrieving device name

We have a Cl program that is always running in the background.  When a user
wants to run it and no one is is using it yet, we need to acquire the device
name of the job calling the program.

How do I retrieve the device name of the session that is trying to start
this job.

I remember obtaining device names from a job before, but can't remember how
I did it.  A cmd?  An API?.
