We recently upgraded from a 510 to a 720, replacing all the 2gig drives with
4gig drives. We later put the 2gig drives into a model 400 we have and IBM
is covering them under the maintenance contract for the model 400. We have
purchased DASD controllers, Ethernet Cards and communication cards on the
used market with no problems and all parts INSTALLED by IBM.

I need to increase DASD on my machine and due to budget considerations I am
considering the used market. I have been told that IBM will cover these
items are my current maintenance contract. Feedback appreciated
