You need to read the file generated (the one overridden to from OUTPUT).  Now be
warned that this is a bit tricky as you need to interpret what you see there. 
You will see codes like 250 and 550 with text behind them and in many cases you
must read the text as well.   You must also be prepared for the transferred byte
count to be 250 or 550 or any other number that matches a message number.  I 
have
some RPG code that does at least some of this and I'm sure others do as well.

If you don't want to trust yourself to correctly interpret these messages there
are tools available (such as ZMOD FTP Client) that do the FTP and report back to
you with Escape and Info messages that are much more easily correctly
interpreted.
